Those of us who don't hale from the United States watch from close, or afar the Thanksgiving craziness that is unleashed from the Northern Atlantic to our shores. It is a wonderful idea, giving thanks ... and it's nice to contemplate from the state of Israel. Most of our holidays have religious significance, so I enjoy a good secular holiday in full force, complete with its own cultural, sporting and eating activities.
- Check out CreativeJewishMom, what an incredible source of original crafting activities, they're all do-able. Kudo's for creativity and fun. (Perhaps the websites creator currently lives in Israel but I'm guessing she's American)
- If you haven't been to the Jew and the Carrot go right now, don't hesitate, don't even think twice JUST click - I'm not 100% a Greenie but I love the community, presentation, RECIPES and ethos that is this blog.
- If you were looking for a gift and you'd been through my site with a fine-toothed comb and you still hadn't found what you wanted, I'd send you to the Modern Tribe. They have a great collection of Judaica from both Israeli and North American artists and their site looks good, too.
- I like my ranges a lot but when I look at Pop Judaica, I chuckle. I'm sure they think "I'm way-old" but you make me smile!
- Call me old school but I like to look at the Forward. Okay they were created as a Yiddish newspaper and I love that they still have a Yiddish section, I don't always agree with their politics but I enjoy the variety.
- Finally the Jewish Museum of New York, not only do they stock Barbara Shaw in their gift shop but what a great museum!
